The last stage deserves a real bed
The Cammino Francescano della Marca links Assisi to Ascoli Piceno, following the footsteps of Saint Francis across Umbria and Le Marche. The arrival is here — and the Sacro Cuore hill, where we live, looks down over the town, ten to fifteen minutes on foot from the squares. A whole apartment rather than a dormitory: the right way to close the walk.
Why walkers stop here
A few things, but the real ones: what you need after days on the road.
A real bed, in silence
A double bedroom in an apartment entirely yours, on the top floor of a quiet building. No shared room, no curfew: just the calm of the hill after a long day walking.
Hot shower and washing machine
Private bathroom, hot water whenever you want it, washing machine and iron included: your pack sets off clean, and so do you.
A kitchen of your own
A fully equipped kitchen: cook what you like, at the hour you like. And breakfast too, well before sunrise if you are leaving early.
Self check-in and dawn departures
Arrive whenever you arrive and leave with the first light: self check-in and self check-out. For the credential and advice on the final stage, just message us.
On the hill, at the entrance to Ascoli
Via Monte Ascensione 9, Ascoli Piceno: on the trails of the Cammini delle Marche, with the historic centre just below.
The Roman Bridge and the centre
From the refuge you walk down to the Solestà quarter and cross the Roman Bridge in a few minutes: from there you are among the travertine squares. On the way back, a gentle climb returns you to the quiet and the view.
